While upcycling is nothing new, it has become more popular than ever as it prevents items going into landfill or being dumped illegally. Yet upcycling is only part of the Furniture Works story.
While you can find second-hand, preloved furniture both online and in shops in the area, we have our own team that transforms items from tired to ‘ta dah’!

We get many quality pieces of furniture donated to us thanks to the generosity of people in the area.
These items undergo close scrutiny by our workshop team, who decide if the items need repairing, sanding, stripping back, taking apart, painting, varnishing … our team is nothing if not thorough!

A piece of furniture, whether it be a stool or a sideboard, has its own story to tell. Quality furnishings will stand the test of time, even if they’ve been damaged. Furniture Work’s team, both clients and staff, improve the items they work so they become bespoke, special and sometimes completely unrecognisable from their original state.
Profits Go to a Good Cause
Furniture Works might be a high street shop, but it is one with the local community at its heart. Items sold in the store help to support the work of the charity Futureworks NY, helping young people get their life into gear.
